SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA (Virtual Porject)

A modern, distinctive home built around a blue palette, layered with the designer's signature touch of Indian elements. Blue, the color of the sky and ocean, symbolizes the infinite and immeasurable, reflecting the divine and limitless nature of Rama, Krishna, and Shiva.

The Swayamvar Piece is a modern decor statement that abstractly depicts the swayamvar from the Ramayana, where Rama breaks Shiva's celestial bow, Pinaka, to win Sita's hand. Birds, symbolizing Rama, are arranged in the shape of the Rama Nammam, or tilak, translating the epic into a contemporary composition.

The Blue Swing represents Krishna, who is often depicted on swings during Janmashtami and Jhulan Yatra. It brings a playful, devotional note to the space while keeping to the home's modern sensibility.
